It's less that they are hard to catch, and more that I feel like it's just an all-or-nothing feeling. That being said, this doesn't feel true to life to me, when compared to the type of drifting I've experienced in consumer cars where you can essentially steer with throttle control once in a slide.

Also, I'm playing without any driver assists from the game, because I wanted the most true-to-life hard experience I could get. I think if I tried using less than 900 degree steering, and/or turned FFB low enough that I could quickly and easily crank the wheel precisely to where I wanted it, it might help. Even at 25mph with the clutch all the way in and no power to the wheels, they continue to just spin out of control and throw smoke everywhere and kick the back end out. The cars don't really seem to respond in any way to any input I give them once they start to get more than about 10-15 degrees from prograde in a slide. probably just too much car for me to handle.' as I have done a bit of drifting in real life, albeit on looser surfaces like gravel and snow/ice, which is substantially easier in my opinion. I kind of find all the cars in this game to teeter on a razor's edge when they start to slide, and then they just flip straight 180 degrees all at once, and it doesn't really seem to matter how much counter-steering I do, or feathering of the gas, the clutch, both/neither, or breaking.

I find the yellowbird to be damn near impossible to keep stable through a corner when it starts to slide.
